- Description
The mouse (Mus musculus) EML (Erythroid, Myeloid, and Lymphocytic) multipotential hematopoietic precursor cell is an ideal system for studying the molecular control of early hematopoietic differentiation events. EML cells are derived from mouse bone marrow cells that have been transfected with a retrovirus expressing a dominant negative retinoic acid receptor and were subsequently cultured in the presence of stem cell factor (SCF). These cells can be re-derived or repeatedly cloned and still retain their multipotentiality
