NUP98-HOXA9
Information NUP98-HOXA9
- Description
NUP98 : Plays a role in the nuclear pore complex (NPC) assembly and/or maintenance. NUP98 and NUP96 are involved in the bidirectional transport across the NPC. May anchor NUP153 and TPR to the NPC. In cooperation with DHX9, plays a role in transcription and alternative splicing activation of a subset of genes. Binds HIV-1 capsid-nucleocapsid (HIV-1 CA-NC) complexes and may thereby promote the integration of the virus in the host nucleus (in vitro). (Source UniProtKB). Homeobox protein Hox-A9 : Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Required for induction of E-selectin and VCAM-1, on the endothelial cells surface at sites of inflammation. (Source UniProtKB).
